Equipment & application review

Automatic Screwdriving Machines & Workstations

Yoson coordinates automatic screwdriving equipment around the fastener, product and tightening process. A standard station may suit a repeated assembly, while multiple screw positions, restricted access or connected production can require dedicated fixtures and controls.

Automatic screwdriving equipment - representative process reference

Application fit

Where this solution fits.

Confirm the screw and joint, review tool access, establish how parts are located and define the tightening and inspection requirements. Feeding and fastening trials with representative samples help determine the final configuration.

Electronics and small assemblies

Repeated fastening on covers, terminals and other assemblies where the screw pattern and workpiece position are defined. Share each fastener type rather than assuming all screws use one feeder.

Appliance and component assembly

Dedicated fixtures for products that need multiple tightening points. Loading access and the ability to reach each screw are reviewed together with the desired cycle.

Connected assembly stations

Screwdriving integrated with part transfer, presence checks and downstream processes. The scope includes how unsuccessful fastening is identified and handled.

Configuration decisions

What determines the equipment.

01

Feeding and access

Provide screw drawings or samples, head and drive style, length and the approach direction. Feeder and tool selection require confirmation with the actual fastener and product.

02

Tightening requirements

Define the required torque, depth or other acceptance signal for the joint. Monitoring and data recording are configuration items; confirm what must be measured and retained.

03

Station layout

Compare a manually loaded desktop station, a floor-standing workstation or an integrated cell. Additional spindles and fixtures should be justified by the sequence and output target.

Before you specify

Common project questions.

Can several screw types be used in one workstation?+

This can be evaluated, but different fasteners may require separate feeding or tooling. The number of screw types, sequence and changeover frequency determine the scope.

Can tightening results be recorded?+

Monitoring and record interfaces can be reviewed during the proposal. Specify the data fields, product identification and receiving system before the control concept is finalized.

How is cycle time confirmed?+

The estimate must include loading, positioning, feeding, tightening and unloading. Final performance is agreed against the actual samples and acceptance conditions.
