Equipment & application review

Assembly Automation & Material Handling Systems

Assembly automation connects parts, operators and process equipment into a repeatable workflow. Yoson coordinates dedicated workstations and material-handling concepts around the part presentation, operation sequence, quality requirements and factory conditions.

Assembly & material handling equipment - representative process reference

Application fit

Where this solution fits.

Map the current sequence, identify the limiting operation and define the required output. Review feeding, orientation, fixtures, transfer and inspection together before deciding which operations should be automated in the first stage.

Loading and pick-and-place

Transfer parts between trays, fixtures and process stations. The starting arrangement, variation and permitted gripping surfaces are central to the handling concept.

Pressing and component assembly

Create a dedicated workstation around a defined assembly sequence. Part support, insertion direction and the method for confirming a completed operation need to be specified.

Conveying and station transfer

Connect existing or new equipment with transfer, buffering and positioning. Agree on the boundaries of each station and how line interruptions are handled.

Configuration decisions

What determines the equipment.

01

Part presentation

A part arriving in a fixed tray differs from a randomly oriented part. Share the incoming condition and product variants so feeding and orientation can be evaluated realistically.

02

Automation level

Compare a manually loaded workstation with partially or fully connected handling. The practical starting point depends on the bottleneck, changeover needs and available factory space.

03

Controls and acceptance

Define presence checks, process confirmation, safe operator access and equipment interfaces. Include loading and recovery in the acceptance plan as well as normal running.

Start the technical review

Send the process, parts and target.

Share the information you already have. We will identify what still needs to be confirmed before a configuration and quotation can be prepared.

Representative automation process. Final equipment and performance are confirmed for your application.

Process reference

Compare the operation with your process.

Use the operating reference to explain a similar step in your production. Send your own part and process video so differences in fixtures, handling and acceptance can be reviewed.

Before you specify

Common project questions.

Must the complete line be automated at once?+

A project can begin with a specific workstation or bottleneck. Interfaces and future expansion should be considered when defining the first-stage scope.

Can the system handle multiple product variants?+

Changeover can be evaluated using the actual variants. Fixture changes, feeding differences, recipes and validation requirements affect the proposal.

What separates a workstation from a full production line?+

A workstation addresses a defined operation or group of operations. A connected line also coordinates transfer, process balance, shared controls and interfaces between stations.
