Equipment & application review

Machine Vision Inspection & Robot Guidance Systems

Machine vision begins with a visible feature and a defined decision. Yoson coordinates inspection and guidance systems that locate parts, verify assemblies or help control an automated process. Camera, lighting, fixture and handling choices follow the sample evaluation.

Vision inspection & guidance equipment - representative process reference

Application fit

Where this solution fits.

Define the feature or defect, collect representative acceptable and unacceptable samples, assess imaging conditions and agree on the decision rules. The proposal then covers inspection, machine response and any required traceability.

Part positioning and guidance

Locate a part or reference feature before dispensing, handling or another machine action. Define permitted position and orientation variation and how the camera result is passed to the motion system.

Assembly and appearance checks

Check presence, orientation or visible defects at a defined station. Real samples across normal production variation are needed to judge which features can be reliably distinguished.

Measurement, codes and sorting

Evaluate dimension checks, code reading or routing based on a captured result. Required tolerances, identification format and reject handling determine the system boundaries.

Configuration decisions

What determines the equipment.

01

Samples and acceptance rules

Provide good parts and examples of each known defect, including borderline cases. A short video alone cannot establish the range of expected production variation.

02

Imaging conditions

Review surface finish, reflections, feature size, field of view and part motion. Controlled lighting and repeatable positioning are part of the inspection concept.

03

Machine response and records

Specify whether a result stops the process, rejects a part, guides a robot or creates a record. Confirm interfaces and failure handling with the upstream and downstream equipment.

Start the technical review

Send the process, parts and target.

Share the information you already have. We will identify what still needs to be confirmed before a configuration and quotation can be prepared.

Representative automation process. Final equipment and performance are confirmed for your application.

Process reference

Compare the operation with your process.

Use the operating reference to explain a similar step in your production. Send your own part and process video so differences in fixtures, handling and acceptance can be reviewed.

Before you specify

Common project questions.

Can a vision system detect every defect?+

Capability must be assessed against the actual defect, visibility, variation and imaging conditions. An accuracy or detection claim should follow an agreed trial with representative samples.

Is AI required for the inspection?+

Not every task requires the same method. The approach is selected after reviewing the inspection problem and available samples, rather than treating AI as a default equipment requirement.

Can vision be added to a dispensing station?+

Positioning and inspection can be evaluated together with dispensing. The camera view, coordinate relationship, material process and required cycle must all be checked.
